that i’m fading out?
today i learned about this sect of quakers that used to exist in early america called the shakers. they believed that sex was the root of all evil. therefore they never procreated and subsequently died out.
i find this both hilarious and utterly sad. but anyway the thought is stuck in my head

the more I want something the more it eludes me.

i haven’t cried in a while now. this isn’t really a sad cry though. it’s sort of like that story in the bible where the father’s son leaves home and spends his inheritance and returns years later a broken man. but the father is so relieved because he believed the son was dead, so he prepares this feast for him. i feel like the father from that story.
