Today I heard back from a photographer that I’ve been wanting to work with in hopes of learning more about the running of a studio, what goes into the profession, etc. and she’s going to take a look at my portfolio on July 5th, give me some stuff to work on in Lightroom, let me sit in on a few shoots.
In addition I also applied for a real estate photo job. They’re reassessing a bunch of houses in Gloucester County, and need somebody to go house to house photographing the front and back exterior. I heard back within an hour. I have an interview on Wednesday, and I’m feeling really good about it. I’d be paid .75 cents per photo, so 1.50 per house. I choose my own hours, and would get 100-150 houses per week.
Honestly I’m ecstatic. I feel great about potentially getting some work in my field. It makes me feel great about a future that sometimes seems so out of my hands.
